Current Opportunities and Coming Attractions

DC Training 

Get a head start on the 2026-27 Guiding year!  You'll get lots of tips and ideas that you can start putting into practice right away, whether you are a brand-new or incoming DC, an existing DC looking to boost your knowledge, or simply interested in Guiding's administrative roles.
DC: Human Resources

Join us as we talk about perfomance management, conflict management, leadership, team-building, and effective communication including "difficult conversations"

District Administration
Monday, June 22 @ 6:30 PM 


This session covers screening new guiders and keeping proper records, as well as tips about how to use all the iMIS resources at your fingertips. The DC is the chair of district council meetings, and this session will show you how to do it effectively.

Foundations of the DC Position
Friday, June 26 @ 6:30 PM

Where does a DC get her support? How does a DC manage her time?  This session also explores district planning and goal-setting, including succession planning

​Based on feedback from other brand-new Guiders, this series of training modules provides all the building blocks for success.  All modules will be able to be taken online, on your own time; although certain of them may be offered in West Coast Area as in-person sessions too.
